Step 1: Enter Star Name Service
- First, go to the website https://app.sns.so/ and connect your wallet at the top right, please ensure that you are on the chain of Polygon, and select the option with the suffix .iloveyou.
Step 2: Register Your Domain Name
- Enter the characters you like in the input box.
(Note: if you register 5 or more characters, you can use them for 3 years for free. Regarding the registration fee for the .iloveyou domain, please kindly refer to the following article, Get Your .iloveyou Domain on Valentine’s Day. )
- On the right side, you can check whether the domain name you want is available. After seeing “available”, click your domain name for the next procedure.
- Check the Registration period. You need to click “+” and edit to “3” so you can use your domain name for three years for free.
- Make sure your domain name is entered correctly, and click the button “Request To Register with MATIC” below.
Step 3: Edit the Suggested Gas Fee (The Most Important Part!!)
Because of the overcrowding on the Polygon chain, you must increase the priority. Otherwise, registration will fail.
- 01: After “Metamask Notification” appears, click “EDIT”, then click “Edit suggested gas fee”, after selecting “High”, click “Save”. Make sure everything is right, and click “confirm”.
- 02: Then you need to wait a few seconds. You will see the green Notification below and the 2nd transaction will appear automatically.
- 03: After waiting, you need to do the above step again. Please be careful and don’t forget to set the “high” gas fee.
Step 4: Check your Registration Name
- When a green prompt box appears at the bottom right corner of the page, you can visit the wallet record to check whether the registration is successful.
- After registration, you can also click “My Profile” to find the domain name you have registered.
