Key Takeaways:

  • Star is expanding onto the Aptos blockchain to allow faster user onboarding.

  • As Aptos aims for mass web3 adoption. Star’s underlying protocol stack will bring aggregation to all social and commerce platforms across web2 & web3.

Star Protocol announces launch on the Aptos blockchain, harnessing Aptos to onboard millions of users through the Move ecosystem. Securing Star’s deployment is @secure3io, an audit contest platform ensuring the security of our #Move contracts by using static analysis and fuzzing tools, together with the audit contest.

The upcoming launch of Star Name Service (‘SNS’, https://sns.so), will take place on Aptos mainnet, October 18th, where SNS will provide multiple naming services for Aptos, similar to ICANN for Web3. Achieved by deploying SNS, Star will launch its suite of Web3 social media tools, and ID aggregator protocols (‘Aster Protocol’) on Aptos over the next few months. With the debut of SNS, Star is actively planning marketing campaigns to onboard more users onto Aptos ecosystem.

Star (https://star.co) is pioneering the transition from Web2 to Web3, allowing anyone to own web3 with a unique omni-chain ID, seamlessly managed across all their social & commerce platforms. With the upcoming sequential rollout of Star’s products, millions of users will now have an easy on-ramp into the Aptos Ecosystem.

Secure3 (https://www.secure3.io) aims to secure Web3 by empowering a transparent, collaborative, and verifiable security ecosystem. Secure3 provides trustworthy security auditing for projects, a competitive incentive model for auditors and whitehats, and a verifiable security track record for the community.

Aptos (https://aptoslabs.com) is a layer 1 blockchain solution born out of the team behind Meta’s Diem project. In March 2022, Aptos raised $200M led by a16z and other top institutions including Tiger Global, Katie Haun, Multicoin Capital, FTX Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Binance Labs, and PayPal Ventures. Besides its experienced team and resource backing, Aptos continues to innovate with the Move Language and Diem-BTF consensus, providing a faster, safer, and more scalable Layer 1 Blockchain. This adaptive blockchain facilitates flawless improvements to its tech infrastructure allowing for exceptional performance upgrades in comparison to older Layer 1 Blockchains.

Star is enhancing the Aptos Ecosystem, accelerating the community growth of social applications. SNS is aiming to achieve this goal by customizing domain names based on the Move programming language for both individuals and projects, which could support the promotion of unique community IDs on social applications across Web2 and Web3.

As hacking events are trending up in the bear market, Star urges all builders of the community to take security into serious consideration. As Star’s strategic partner, Secure3 will continue supporting all future features of Star and other projects building on Aptos and Move Language.
